M&E and Learning Framework for Transformational Empowerment of Adolescent Marginalised Girls

wherewework_malawi_lcd1

STS provided expertise as the external evaluator to develop a monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) framework for a DFID-funded “Girls’ Education Challenge” initiative through the “Leave No Girl Behind” funding window.

Implemented through Link International’s partners in Malawi, the five-year project—“Transformational Empowerment of Adolescent Marginalized Girls in Malawi”—addresses social, cultural, economic, and other barriers in education. STS’s MEL framework provided the basis for the project’s objectives and key evaluation questions, as well as its evaluation design and data collection plan. The framework also considered and integrated Link International’s policies and practices on safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. As a related task, STS revised the project’s log frame, which included gender-sensitive and inclusion-focused quantitative and qualitative indicators.
