Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organization that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. In 2019, they were active in 77 countries, reaching 21.6 million girls and 18.9 million boys through their work. Much of their work in education focuses on girls, children with disabilities, those from minority groups and children living in poor and remote areas, as these are the groups most often denied access to education. Plan International believes that mainstream education systems can and should be adapted to meet the needs of all learners, and should offer learning opportunities for every child.
STS supported Plan International to select and identify methodologies to monitor and assess progress on Inclusive Quality Education indicators. STS identified relevant tools, platforms, and resources to support the implementation of these Inclusive Quality Education indicators. To support the implementation across Plan offices, STS created an extensive slide deck and accompanying communication brief.
