Our Purpose

School-to-School International (STS) is an international development organization dedicated to improving the lives of girls, boys, and their communities worldwide through access to quality education. We focus on creating conditions of success for children around the world.

Our Values

For more than two decades, School‑to‑School International (STS) has pursued a simple, powerful mission: to improve the lives and learning of children worldwide through thoughtful research, practice, and partnership.

Since our founding, STS has collaborated with ministries, foundations, and communities in 52 countries. We’ve trained teachers, partnered with departments of education, provided students with learning materials, and championed education as a human right.

Wherever our partnerships took us, our flagship Whole Child Model guided our work and helped students thrive by integrating education, health, and community engagement.

Partner Testimonials

Deborah Backus, Project Director, World Vision, on the All Children Reading: A Grand Challenge for Development
"STS was an ideal partner for Plan International...their collaborative approach to working with the Ministry of Primary Education resulted in the development of a high-quality suite of teaching and learning materials for Grade 2. This, combined with their ongoing support to teacher development, contributed to significant increases in grade 2 student EGRA results."
Sarah Havekost, Senior Education Advisor, Plan International USA on the USAID’s Niger Education and Community Strengthening
"Their evaluation report is clearly written, easy to read, tables and figures add value to the overall presentation of evidence and are easy follow. Findings are credible and logically and transparently linked to (at times multiple sources of) evidence. Conclusions are based on findings and evidence presented in the report, and recommendations are justified by the available evidence."
