Part of an integrated program supporting the Ghanaian Ministry of Education and Education Service, the project sought to improve reading and math instruction in the early grades. Through the program, we worked with local partners to revise early grade mathematics syllabuses, create accompanying training guides, and lead teacher professional development.
Our work was recently featured in Towards the Design and Implementation of Comprehensive Primary Grade Literacy and Numeracy Programs, a working paper by the Global Reading Network. Below is the first of two case studies about our contributions.
