Tamara Mzumara is the programs assistant for the USAID Transforming Teacher Education (TTE) activity in Zambia. She provides the team with support to programmatic activities.
Mzumara began her career as an intern at the ILO country office in Zambia. Her passion to serve orphans, vulnerable children, and youth (OVCY) led her to work as an assessor on a research study on ways to improve OVCY HIV prevention and well-being. She also worked at an employers’ organization on a project that promoted the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the workplace. Prior to joining TTE Zambia, Mzumara volunteered at a nonprofit library that provides accessible library services to OVCY and assisted with DREAMS mentoring before she was employed by the library.
Mzumara earned an AS in business administration from Vincennes University and a BA in international affairs from Murray State University.
