Susanna Loeb is Director of the Annenberg Institute and Professor of Public Policy and Education at Brown University. Formerly she was the Barnett Family Professor of Education at Stanford University. She specializes in education policy, looking particularly at policies and practices that support teachers and school leaders. Her work spans the range of age-level, including early education, k-12 and higher education. Her recent work focuses particularly on information barriers to teaching improvement and parenting. Susanna was the founding director of the Center for Education Policy at Stanford.
She is a member of the National Board for Education Sciences and of the National Academy of Education, and she is a faculty director of Policy Analysis for California Education and a senior fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research.
