Stephanie Templeton is an international education researcher with over eight years’ experience, whose career was inspired by her own education in Australia, France, and Mexico, as well as time teaching English in Romania.
Prior to STS, Templeton worked for the Australian Council for Educational Research providing technical assistance for developing and administering international-, regional-, and national-level assessments of student learning. Some of the projects she has supported include the OECD’s Programme for International Student Assessment, the South-East Asia Primary Learning Metric, and tablet-based assessments in Afghanistan and Lesotho. Templeton has produced documentation for the UNESCO Institute of Statistics that aims to strengthen the quality of assessment data submitted by countries for reporting progress against Sustainable Development Goal 4.
Templeton holds a Master of Arts in international education development from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts focusing on French, Spanish, and history from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
