Mary Denauw has worked as a teacher, teacher educator and educational consultant for kindergartens and elementary schools. She specializes in working with children with special needs.
During her career, Mary Denauw provided technical assistance to the Ministries of Education of Comoros and Djibouti. She managed human, material and financial resources for projects funded by the French Development Agency, the World Bank and UNICEF. Mary Denauw oversaw the production of tools for the implementation of reading programs in Djibouti and Senegal and coordinated the development of programs, teacher guides and student booklets in bilingual education programs in Haiti, Senegal , DRC, Niger and Djibouti. She co-facilitated workshops on EGRA adaptation and trained investigators on EGRA administration in Mali, Guinea, Djibouti and Morocco. She also conducts qualitative surveys on repetition and drop-out in Haiti.
Mary Denauw holds a Master’s degree in Education and Training with honors in French as a Foreign Language. She is certified as a trainer of trainers with certification for children with special needs.
