Lauren McAskill is a business development professional with a decade of experience in international development. As the senior director of business strategy at STS, McAskill leads business development activities for the organization. Specific activities include upcoming opportunity tracking and strategic bid decision-making; strategic external communications; forming partnerships; coordinating staff time in support of business development; and producing technical and cost inputs for proposals to USAID, FCDO, INGOs, private donors, and other funders. McAskill leads handover of STS’s newly won contracts and grants to STS’s Programs and Evaluation & Research teams.
McAskill also provides support to ongoing project technical activities. Her work includes EGRA tool adaptation and piloting, enumerator training, early grade reading curriculum and materials development, and education research. In her previous position at IntraHealth International, McAskill supported project proposals to USAID and private donors, focusing on health worker training and health systems strengthening. Her experience in francophone West Africa includes serving two years in the United States Peace Corps in Benin. She is a native English speaker, fluent in French, and an intermediate Spanish speaker.
McAskill holds a Bachelor of Arts in history and French from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
