Laura Conrad is an education specialist with over seven years of experience in domestic and international education.
Conrad’s career started as an elementary school teacher in Washington, D.C. where she taught kindergarten and fourth grade and developed a background in curriculum development, early childhood education, and bilingual education. In addition to an instructional background, Conrad has managed early childhood literacy programs in the United States and USAID-funded education projects in Zambia, Rwanda, Liberia, and Pakistan. Conrad has conducted qualitative research around education communities of practice and teacher professional development in rural, southern Tanzania.
Conrad has a Bachelor of Arts in international studies from American University and an Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
