As School-to-School International’s research coordinator, Kayla Nachtsheim provides programmatic and technical support to STS’s projects.
Nachtsheim’s background includes teaching English to adolescents in Guadeloupe through the French Government program TAPIF; development of a solar-powered computer center and summer program for youth in Port-au-Prince, Haiti; and culture and language immersion studies in Senegal. Since joining STS in 2016, she has training in 9 countries, including training enumerators responsible for Early Grade Reading and Mathematics Assessment (EGRA/EGMA) data collection and conducting capacity-building workshops with local government stakeholders. In addition to bringing her skills as a presenter and facilitator to STS, Nachtsheim supports data quality assurance and monitoring activities. She also provides French translation and editing support for STS’s francophone projects.
Nachtsheim received her Bachelor of Arts in international affairs and French studies with a minor in environmental studies from Lewis & Clark College.
