Hali Thomas is an education program manager with experience in West, Central, and southern Africa, parts of Asia, the South Pacific, and domestically.
Prior to STS, Thomas managed USAID-funded early grade reading projects, taught in a Montessori school, worked with primary and secondary school teachers, served as a primary school literacy coach, and ran literacy mentoring programs. Thomas became passionate about literacy and development during her time as a Peace Corps volunteer in Vanuatu, where she served as a literacy teacher trainer and reading coach to primary students.
Thomas earned an early grade reading certificate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a master’s degree in international education and development from George Washington University, and a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and special education from Mercer University.
