In his role at STS, Eric Chávez provides a wide range of support to the Business Development and Communications department. His work is primarily focused on proposal production, research, editing, external communications and partnerships, data tracking, and logistics.
Prior to joining STS, Chávez supported Education Development Center on the USAID Education in Crisis and Conflict Network and the USAID Global Book Alliance in Action. He has gained seven years of progressive experience as an applied researcher and service designer in the international development sector. His interests in alternative and trauma-informed approaches to education have led him to work with grassroots organizations in México and El Salvador. Fluent in English, he is also proficient in Spanish.
Chávez holds a Master in Public Administration in international policy and development and a Master of Arts in international education management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey. His Bachelor of Arts in global studies was earned from The New School’s Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts in New York City.
