Eric Chávez provides a wide range of support to the business development and communications department. His work is primarily focused on proposal production, research, editing, external communications and partnerships, data tracking, and logistics.
Prior to joining STS, Chávez supported the Education Development Center on the USAID Education in Crisis and Conflict Network and the USAID Global Book Alliance in Action. He has seven years of progressive experience as an applied researcher and service designer in the international development sector. His interests in alternative and trauma-informed approaches to education led him to work with grassroots organizations in México and El Salvador. Fluent in English, Chávez is also proficient in Spanish.
Chávez holds an MPA in international policy and development and an MA in international education management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in global studies from The New School’s Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts in New York City.
