Drew Schmenner is a senior data and technical writing associate.
After serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Niger, Schmenner was an award-winning newspaper reporter in southern California before returning to the field of international development. Schmenner coordinates STS’s electronic data capture and data management efforts across its entire project portfolio. His time in the field has included trips to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Liberia, Mali, Nepal, Tajikistan, and Tanzania. He is well-versed in Tangerine—software used to administer Early Grade Reading Assessments—and other data collection software and has supported many data collection trainings.
Schmenner earned a Bachelor of Arts in English at Northwestern University and has received two master’s degrees: international studies at the University of San Francisco and journalism at the University of Missouri.
