Bruce Tsokonombwe is the Finance and Administration Coordinator for the USAID Strengthening Teacher Education and Practice Activity (STEP) Activity in Malawi. Tsokonombwe is responsible for the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the project.
Tsokonombwe has more than five years of finance and accounting experience. Before joining STS, Tsokonombwe worked for international NGOs and in the private sector, spending three years as a finance and administrative assistant with the USAID-funded National Reading Programme and two years as a project assistant accountant with the USAID-funded United in Building and Advancing Life Expectations Project. Tsokonombwe also worked as an assistant accountant at Farmers World Limited Company.
Tsokonombwe holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Catholic University of Malawi, and a Diploma in Accounting (ICAM). Currently, he is pursuing an MBA at the Malawi Institute of Management, and an ICAEW professional level.
