Dr. Assunta Hardy is an evaluation, research, and assessment professional with more than twelve years of experience in the field of education. As principal researcher, she serves as a senior leader of STS’s evaluation and research department, providing technical guidance, such as EGRA-tool adaptation, on a portfolio of USAID-funded projects.
Prior to joining STS, Hardy led large-scale studies evaluating the impact of EdTech and instructional programs on primary, secondary, and tertiary education. She collaborated with educators, school and district administrators, state-government agencies, and nonprofit foundations to identify underlying factors of student learning in content areas such as mathematics, science, literacy, and social-emotional learning. Her technical and strategic guidance contributed to institutional policy changes and improvements in instructional programs nationally and internationally.
Hardy holds a Ph.D. in educational measurement and evaluation and an M.Ed. in comparative international development education from Brigham Young University. She speaks English, French, and Italian.
