Assunta Hardy

Principal Researcher

Dr. Assunta Hardy is an evaluation, research, and assessment professional with more than twelve years of experience in the field of education. As principal researcher, she serves as a senior leader of STS’s evaluation and research department, providing technical guidance, such as EGRA-tool adaptation, on a portfolio of USAID-funded projects.

Prior to joining STS, Hardy led large-scale studies evaluating the impact of EdTech and instructional programs on primary, secondary, and tertiary education. She collaborated with educators, school and district administrators, state-government agencies, and nonprofit foundations to identify underlying factors of student learning in content areas such as mathematics, science, literacy, and social-emotional learning. Her technical and strategic guidance contributed to institutional policy changes and improvements in instructional programs nationally and internationally.

Hardy holds a Ph.D. in educational measurement and evaluation and an M.Ed. in comparative international development education from Brigham Young University. She speaks English, French, and Italian.
