Friends of STS,

The last two months have been very busy for STS. Since January, we’ve had team members in Guinea, India, Tajikistan and Pakistan working on projects ranging from teacher trainings to early grade reading assessments to school-based health and nutrition workshops.

Thanks to your generous support, STS continues to improve learning standards and outcomes worldwide.

Happy 2014!

Poised to broaden our reach, we are gearing up for a busy 2014 at STS. We aim to double the impact of our Whole Child Model when the next school year starts in the fall. We will also host several networking events in the Bay Area in the coming months. We have hired new staff to join our growing team. All of this work has one overarching goal in mind — creating the conditions of success for every child.

Your support has been indispensable, enabling us to reach thousands of students, parents, and community members and scores of teachers.

Thank you for partnering with STS

Dear STS Friends and Family,

As we kick off the New Year, we would like to thank you for all your support and for choosing to partner with us!

Every year, millions of children in developing countries across the globe drop out before finishing primary school. Unsafe school conditions, poorly trained teachers, lack of access to safe water and sanitation, and disengaged parents and communities all contribute to the high drop out rates.

Last chance to partner in 2013

Dear STS Friends and Family,

Our Whole Child Model brings together the critical resources children need to learn and stay healthy so they can succeed in school. To date, School-to-School International has reached over 8,000 girls and boys, over 300 teachers, and thousands of parents and community members in Guinea with its integrated package of support focusing on education, health, and engagement.

Building Global Citizens

Dear Friends of STS,

School-to-School International’s Pen Pal Program connects hundreds of students every year in the United States and Canada with students in our partner schools in Guinea.

The Pen Pal Program helps kids become Global Citizens by putting them in direct contact with someone on the other side of the world. Through their letters and drawings, students learn about other cultures and

Water equals Change. Let’s keep it flowing.

Dear Friends of STS,

Water scarcity affects one in three people on every continent of the globe. Nearly 800 million people do not have access to clean water and an estimated 2.5 billion people lack access to basic sanitation. One of the Millennium Development Goals is to halve the proportion of people living without sustainable access to safe drinking water and

Give the Gift of Opportunity

Dear Friends of STS,

In 2011, over 30 million primary school-age girls were out-of-school around the world; 16.1 million of them live in sub-Saharan Africa. The consequences of not being in school at such a young age can last a lifetime: illiteracy, poverty, early marriage and childbirth, and limited opportunities for stable and safe employment.

In Guinea, the Whole Child Model is providing critical

Support a child and her community today

Dear STS Partner,

Last month you heard about the exciting way the Whole Child Model supports school children and their communities through education, health, and community engagement programs.
